Alexandra Alaniz

President & Founder

A junior student who studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Alexandra Alaniz founded the organization with the vision of providing hands-on experience for engineering students like herself. 

During The Rocket Launchers first year, she worked as an intern for NASA at Marshall Space Flight Center.

Justin Osorio

Vice-President, Founder, & Team Leader

A junior student who studied Mechanical Engineering at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Justin had a desire of learning the skills that would give him and many other students an opportunity in the aerospace industry. 

He took whole responsibility as Team Leader and made sure to prepare everyone for the first competition at IREC 2016.

Enrique Molina

Simulations Lead & Co-Founder

A sophomore student who studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. 

Enrique Molina took the responsibility of altitude approach and flight stabilization for the rocket at IREC 2016.

Abraham Martinez

Active Member & Co-Founder

A sophomore student who studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Abraham was a key member for the team's success at IREC 2016.

Marco Piña

Treasurer & Co-Founder

junior student who studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Marco worked on Spacebound, competing rocket, for IREC 2016.

Marcos Rojas

Public Relations & Co-Founder

A freshman student who studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

 

Marcos was the only freshman & international student of the team. He worked as a volunteer and helped out at fundraisers throughout the year.

Allen Owens

Safety Officer

A senior student who studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Allen used his previous experience as an intern for SpaceX to help the team by advising and working on Spacebound, competing rocket, for IREC 2016.

Carlos Vazquez

A master's student who studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Carlos' experience and expertise led him to advise the team during the completion of Spacebound, competing rocket, for IREC 2016.
