Justin Osorio
Vice-President & Captain
A senior student who studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Justin worked on all systems of the rocket, becoming one of the most important members of the team. He was responsible in leading the team to the rocket's completion.

Josiah Villareal
Secretary
A junior student who studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Josiah joined during the organization's second year and became very active in working on multiple systems of Spacebound II, competing rocket for IREC 2017.

Marcos Rojas
Treasurer & Financial Officer
A sophomore student who studied Mechanical Engineering student at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Marcos managed the finances of the organization. He was responsible for obtaining funds through sponsors and fundraisers.

He focused his work on the payload for Spacebound II, competing rocket for IREC 2017.

Abraham Martinez

A junior student who studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Abraham interned at NASA Ames Research Center at Moffet Field, Mountain View, CA.
​
He took on a huge role in the organization, working on multiple systems of the rocket after interning for 4 months.

Enrique Molina
Simulations & Propulsion Lead
A junior student who studied Mechanical Engineering student at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Enrique worked on the research for the rocket's motor and conducted the simulations for the rocket's flight.

Abigail Gomez
Payload Lead
A junior student who studied Computer Hardware Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, with a 4.0 GPA.

Abigail took whole responsibility of the payload project for IREC 2017. She worked on the payload's coding and electronics.

Omar Elizondo

Omar was the only freshman of the team.

He as the main machinist, manufacturing multiple components of the rocket for IREC 2017. He was responsible of the design of the payload for Spacebound II, competing rocket.
